Growing number of mobile devices

- 5 MIN READ - 30 Jul 2013

Have you noticed that in past few years we hear less and less about personal computers and laptops, while at the same time the mobile industry updates are big part of our daily news?

Of course it is understandable with all the exciting new technologies like smartphones and tablets, which probably   add a bit more value than bigger and more robust devices like computers.

Highly likely that we will never get to the point where personal computers are actually gone from our everyday life. While not being physically on our table, the hardware pieces are part of other devices like TVs, home automation systems or if you will – smart mirrors which display you morning news while brushing your teeth. Majority of the work tasks can be already now solved using smartphones, while leaving the computing part to the enormous server parks, which common people will never see during their lifetime.

Mobile World Live has stated, that comparing to the last year same time in the second quarter, there has been shipped almost double number of mobile devices from 156.5 million units to 229.6 million in Q2 2013 (read more). Understandably, where there is a demand, there is a offer – so actually that tells us that people all around the world are willing to buy more and more smartphones. Of course at some regions, developing countries, it is just a new wave of growing trend, while in Europe, USA and China  people probably are exchanging their old devices or choosing new smartphones and tablets over a new laptops or desktop computers.

Does this growing number of mobile devices also mean more SMSs being sent all over the world? I certainly hope so, since the SMS has proven to be one of the best ways of communication with a personal touch, over a distance, next to the phone calls.

Join us to learn how we're helping people #TurnOn2FA

01 Aug 2017

We’ve developed solid APIs for global SMS messaging and two-factor authentication, which are currently part of processes for hundreds of companies and facilitate thousands of transactions every day. Yet we aren’t stopping there. Effectively communicating with customers and securing customer account access online are two aspects of business technology we focus on. While there’s much more to business technology (much, much more,) these are the two areas which we strive to be the best.

That’s why we keep developing our tools to address evolving needs in the areas which we specialize.

01 Aug 2017

Getting the most bang out of each buck in a marketing communication strategy requires solids budget estimation. Yet when the budget is broken halfway through the month, the questions arise: How did this happen? How have we sent twice as many SMS messages than we should have at this point? Well, this is where the multipart SMS comes into play.
