How can a financial services provider use business messaging?
Business messaging can help you stay connected with your customer across their entire lifecycle. Many of our customers come to us to start with Authentication efforts, but then use us for Marketing and Notifications, too.
How is message archiving and retention handled for compliance purposes?
We store message data for 1 year and statistics data for 3 years. We do this so you can see the messages in your customer dashboard, and track trends over time. You can always reduce the data retention period if you like, even to the point where we don’t store your message content at all.
All of the data that’s processed and stored while Messente’s acting as the Controller is handled as confidential and sensitive information.
Does Messente integrate with existing CRM and banking systems?
Yes. Messente uses a REST API connection, so integrating into your existing CRM or banking system is a straightforward, secure process one of your developers can do in an afternoon.
Can documents and files be shared securely via Messente?
We do not recommend sharing secure documents or files via business messages. Messente has direct relationships with telecommunications carriers and service providers, and we strive to work only with providers who are GDPR compliant. However, some of the "last mile" connections of our partners might be unencrypted due to the nature of the SMS underlying protocol. Because of this, we don’t recommend sharing highly personal data via Messente.
How much does Messente messaging cost?
Messente offers some of the lowest per-message costs on the market. This price is accompanied with the Messente service fee. The fee means access to everyone and everything from Messente from the support crew to the CEO, and all servers, routing, security - everything we possibly can offer.
Does Messente help with regulatory messaging compliance across countries?
Yes. Messente ensures your messages comply with local telecom regulations in each country. We handle sender ID registration, route optimization, and opt-in management guidance to help financial institutions avoid penalties.
Can we use Messente for PSD2-compliant strong customer authentication (SCA)?
Absolutely. Messente is widely used by banks and fintechs to send time-sensitive OTPs for transaction verification, login authentication, and payment approvals in full compliance with PSD2 and other EU directives.
How does Messente protect against SMS fraud and phishing attempts?
Messente’s platform includes AIT detection, IP throttling, and smart filtering. We actively monitor for suspicious traffic patterns and help financial clients enforce message limits and sender protections to prevent impersonation or phishing.
